"What I think happened is that some viewers organized campaigns to vote strategically. Instead of simply voting for their favorite couple (where you can vote up to 10 times), they voted for everyone else except us. It was a clever way to boost other contestants and drown out my fan base," she explained.
While Hilaria expressed her happiness for her friends who received votes, she couldn't hide her desire to continue dancing and showcase her skills further. "I have so many positive things to say about the experience. It's sad that it had to end this way," she added. "There are more good people than bad, and I just wish people could see me for who I am, beyond the crazy narratives."
Throughout her time on the show, Hilaria and her partner, pro dancer Gleb Savchenko, consistently received mid-range scores from the judges. Their final dance earned them a respectable 23/30, but it seems the lower viewer votes sealed their fate.
